Samantha Herring's life has changed fovever after she and her had a car crash. Her mom died and Samantha is experiencing grief that slowly spirals down into a depression and has to get therapy.
But then she meets Eliot. Eliot is dealing with a rare condition which makes that he can't feel any pain. Slowly they get to know each other's condition better. But they also have to deal with some difficult people around them who think it's better when they won't be dating and some serious bullies (Anthony).

As In some other YA novels I recently read, Sam doesn't remember the accident at all. But then someone named Kendra who is connected to Anthony, who keeps attacking Eliot, slowly reveals that she has something to do with it, it is just something so futile that ofcourse Sam is mad like crazy that her mom has died because of something so small.

I really liked the cover of this book, and without reading the synopsis beforehand, I jumped into it.
I liked most of the story. Judging it by it's cover, I thought this book would be some more lighthearted and funny. Nothing of that all! The book and it's characters where all a little edgy and all where dealing with serious issues and problems. I really liked the match between Samatha and Eliot, they where really cute together. And that was all of the cuteness I found in this book.  There where some parts in the book though that where quite slow, and some points or characters where not worked out well. It wasn't very clear why Eliot was in a fit at some points with Anthony, and Kendra's character, I still wonder what her relation was to Samantha.

But further on, it was an entertaining read, not very outstanding, but not bad either.
