Macallan and Levi are friends at first sight. Levi is new to Macallan's high school and she shows him around, and then they find out they have a lot in common and they like the same TV show from the UK.  They do everything together and they prove thay a guy and a girl can be just friends, nothing more. You see them almost always together: hanging out after school, share tons of inside jokes, their families are super close, and Levi even starts dating one of Macallan’s friends. Eventually they realize they’re best friends — which wouldn’t be so bad if they didn’t keep getting in each other’s way. Guys won’t ask Macallan out because they think she’s with Levi, and Levi spends too much time joking around with Macallan, and maybe not enough time with his date. They can’t help but wonder . . . are they more than friends or are they better off without making it even more complicated?

Better of Friends is a cute romantic YA novel. Its a sort of teenage When Harry Met Sally. I truly didn't know what to expect. I loved Elizabeth Eulbergs previous book  Revenge Of The Girl With The Great Personality and I hoped it was the same kind of fast paced story. It is quite different from that book. This story was a bit slower and the tone was completely different. I think say the story didn't had the wow-factor that I think had Elizabeth's previous book, and I had the feeling during the book I was reading a teenage love story I have read in other books before. Levi and Macallan are circling around together as best friends, but suddenly the love flame does crosses over between them and they are in love. Not the most original, but the style of writing by Elizabeth Eulberg does make up for it: the characters where cute, realistic and believable.enjoyed this story so much is because of the witty dialogue between Macallan and Levi.  This is a perfect spring read for all teens to enjoy!!
