Charlotte Gorman is an elementary school librarian and is a true bookworm who loves the classics.
She is the total opposite of her identical twin sister Ginny, who is somewhat of a professional beauty pagant contestant. This time, Charlotte joins Ginny on a trip for a beauty contest for Miss American Treasure in Orlando, Florida. Where she meets a very nice man named Gray when they both are walking their dogs, and their identical love for classic fiction sends a love sparkle over between the two.
The trip takes an odd turn though when Ginny out of the blue gets an allergic reaction that leaves her face bumpy and swollen, and unable to join the conest. Enter Charlotte, her identical twin, who she asks to step into her place and to act like she is Ginny. Suddenly Charlotte finds herself in the middle of the sweet smelling world of hairspray, perfume, make up, fake tans, hair extensions and beauty queen gowns.
Things take an even more odd but also fun twist when Charlotte, posing as Ginny in the middle of a contest day, discovers that Gray is one of the contest judges. This all lead to funny complicated twists and turns till the end of the contest. Can Charlotte keep up appearrances or will she be discovered that she is not who she says she is in the end?

This is perfect book for fans of romantic comedies and for fans of authors like Meg Cabot and Sophie Kinsella. It is a story you are immediately 'in'' and that takes you on a rollercoaster of the most hilarious twists and turns. I can totally imagine this book being a fun play in a theatre or a movie. The author created an identical twin with Charlotte and Ginny but she made them the complete opposite, with Charlotte being an introvert bookworm and librarian and Ginny an extravert beauty queen who loves the attention in the spotlight.  I also liked the super romantic part between Charlotte and Gray, which was just perfectly worked out by the author, even as the conclusion and wrap up of the story.
Overall this is a very entertaining read that puts a smile on your face and that I definately recommend reading!
