Because of a nationwide snowstorm, Ryn, who was on her way to San Francisco, has to stay overnight at Denver Airport on New Years Eve because all the planes are grounded.
Due to some circumstances, she accidentally swaps phone with someone. She finds out his name is Xander and he just as lost and stranded as her. What follows is a bizzare night in the airport, with the most crazy things happening that you can't imaging happening in real life. Like a total random new years eve party with a bunch of strangers. During this night though, the red line of Ryn's story is the unread text message on her phone, that she still hasn't read after a year and that is quite holy to her. It's a message from her best friend who just texted her just before she died in a fatal car crash.

I have mixed feelings about this book. It started out well but the storyline got from bizar to just very odd and unbelievable. It also seemed just impossible for all the events to happen in just one night, I had the feeling it lasted a whole week at least. And how can they move just everywhere in the airport so smooth? The characters of Ryn and everyone else where just a bit flat. There is some kind of progression for Ryn because at the end she finally reads that one text message, but that's most of it.
Overall the idea for the storyline was good, but it didn't work out that well.
