Truly, Madly, Deeply is a new romantic short story collection published by Mills & Boon UK, in collaboration with the Romantic Novelists Association. The stories are written by a wide cast of bestselling authors including Adele Parks, Katie Fforde, Carole Matthews, Miranda Dickinson and many more.
I always find it a tiny bit harder to review short story collections. Maybe because there where 24 in this book and it goes a bit too far to review them all piece by piece. So I will pick just one out of the great collection of stories. A real prince by Fiona Harper: is a lookalike of princess Catherine. She is hired because of her looks by an agency who has more models who look almost exactly like members of the royal family, so they are booked a lot, and sometimes even to ''stand in'' for the royal family on special events. But has she found her own real prince yet? This is a fast paced, romantic story with a few fun unexpected twists, with a fun unexpected ending.
Another story that was quite touching was Summer 43 by India Grey. The main character in this story is a meal deliverer for elderly patients. When she is shown a picture by an elderly lady from a dancing night taken somewhere in 1943, and tells this story to one of her other male clients, she gets a wonderful chance to connect to old lovers. A very moving and well written story of lost lovers who find each other back after half a century.
Overall, this is a must read for fans of contemporary romantic fiction!!
