Twenty-six bestselling authors return to the teenage bedrooms, school hallways and college dorms of their youth to share passionate essays of love lost and found and lessons learned along the way. Whether heartbreaking or hilarious, their soul-baring honesty reminds us to keep reaching for true love wherever we can find it and for as long as it takes. The stories are very eclectic and all charming in their own way. And all very personal: one author tells the story of her first crush, who was sent out to fight in a war and never returned, a few other stories tell as well about a first crush who died. But overall the stories are fun, vivid and very entertaining to read. Among the contributing authors are many I have never heard of before, but also a few more well-known in the YA book scene: David Levithan, Melissa Walker and Lauren Oliver.
I really enjoyed this entertaing collection of first crush stories. The stories and authorswhere so diverse and unique that it kept me page turning to the last page. I always find it harder to write a review about a collection of stories-book. But I just can't say enough I worth every penny this book is. A fun book to get a serious crush on!
Wow, I hadn't noticed this before. Lots of great authors - especially Lauren Oliver. It's nice hearing these people reminisce.
