In this third part in teh Aspen Brooks trilogy, Aspen Brooks is on a fun trip to Las Vegas with her boyfriend Rand, her best friend Angel and Angel's boyfriend Lucas. Aspen's suitcase with all her clothes has gone missing during the flight from Illinois to Las Vegas.They stay at the Pirate's Cove hotel, where at the moment of their stay, the Miss Teen Queen Beauty Pageant is being hold. One of them is a former classmate of Rand:Emerson, who a few days later has gone missing.This is weird and very suspicious,Emerson was in this contest for the prize money, which could save her parent's farm.

Aspen want to know why and who did this, and her vacation becomes a sleuthing mission again! She learns that the Pageant Misstress is a creepy woman, and so she is one of the first suspects. Now Emerson has gone AWOL, and they are looking for a new contestant for the state of Illinois, Aspen fills in Emerson's pageant place. She loathes the rehearsals under the watching eye of the creepy Pageant Misstress, but now she is in the pageant, she might find out more about Emerson's missing..
Beside the pageant, she has a great fun time in Vegas with Rand, Angel and Lucas

Spring Breakup was just as fun as the previous two books in the series. Its a perfect book to escape with. Aspen is a great teen sleuth, and she again unravels the mistery excellent.
At some point the story lacked some speed, and I keep wondering if Aspen got her suitcase back, thats what I missed at the end! But most of all Spring Breakup is a fun readable and exciting trip to Las Vegas with Aspen, Rand, Lucas and Angel, and I wish I had a group of friends like them!
