Indigo Blues by Danielle Joseph

When their relationship ends, Adam writes a song about his girlfriend Indigo, the song is called Indigo Blues and is performed by his band Blank Stare. He can't stop thinking about Indigo and keeps calling her. But she doesn't pick up.

Indigo Blues is a big hit in the charts, and is playing on every radio station. And now Indigo suddenly is famous, something she really doesn't want and certainly didn't ask for. Now everyone recognizes her as the girl from the song, and she is pawed by fans, stalked by reporters and now known as a real heartbreaker.

When they are both invited to be interviewed at the Sabian Live show in New York City, they have to face eachother again. How will their confrontation end?

I loved this fun second novel by Danielle Joseph! The idea of the story reminded me a bit of Audrey, Wait y Robin Benway, also a story where a girl is suddenly famous because of her songwriting-about-their-breakup-boyfriend. That book was a big hit, and I hope Indigo Blues will be too, in my eyes it certainly is! Danielle really knows what she writes about; she was a DJ at several top radio stations in Boston, and you read her love for music between the lines, just as in her first novel Shrinking Violet. Don't miss out Indigo Blues!
