In New York, she is a student at the well known La Guardia school for the performing arts (the school known from the Fame tv series), as a film major. In South Bend, she has her camera to record a video diary (the Viola Reels)during her time at Prefect. She has three roommates, and they become, luckily, good friends.
When Viola is editing one of her video's, she discovers something that she didn't saw when she was filming: a mysterious classy looking lady , dressed in red, is standing in the cornfield Viola was filming. How did she show up there, is she a ghost, and why is she appearring in Viola's video, is she trying to tell Viola something, and if so, what is it?
Soon she gets a new boyfriend, Jared, and he tells her there is a film competition coming up. Viola enters with a film about the mysterious lady, the reader learns more in the book who she is, I won't tell it here!
I waited long to read Viola in Reel Life, and I finally got a copy of it this week. As I am a big fan of Adriana Trigiani's books, I was very excited to read this book, which is her first young adult novel.
It was very different than all her other books, but I liked it just as much as her other books!
The story was cute, light and all about adjusting in a new environment and making new friends. Adriana Trigiani has a great style of making the story very vivid and it just comes alive while you read it.
And it had a mysterious little thing with the lady in red. Want to find out who she is? Read the book and find out..

Great review! haven't read any of her books, but they sound good!"
