Actually, The Carrie Diaries is the first novel by Candace Bushnell that I really enjoyed reading. I tried reading Sex and the City, 4 Blondes a few years ago and I was a dissapointed by her book One Fifth Avenue. But as I said, I really liked The Carrie Diaries. The style of writing was light and I think it is a perfect beach read that ofcourse gets never out of fashion, certainly not now the 2ns SATC movie is in theatres everywhere now. Really fascinating how Candace switched from chicklit to YA, and really succeeds!
