The Big Picture; A Katie Parker Production- Book 3 by Jenny B. Jones

In this third and final Katie Parker suddenly is faced with the re-appearance of her druggie trailer park mom Bobbie Ann Parker. Bobbie is released from her time in prison, and she only wants one thing, get Katie back to her trailer. Katie is happy with her life with Millie and James Scott in the town of In Between, where she has her high school and best friends now. But Katie is still underage, and so she is forced to live with Bobbie again. Now she can't help her friends anymore at the Vaillant theatre and at the drive in cinema that is in danger of closing.

When she lives with Bobbie in her trailer in Middleton, things do not go well. Bobbie is never at home, and when she is, she seems under influence, even though she promised to keep clean. Katie misses her live with Millie and James, but starts making new friends in Middleton with tate, the son of the preacher of the local church. B

Bobbie stays more and more away from home with the excuse that she is working in the hair salon where she is a shampoo girl. But when she doesn't come home for days and Katie and Tate ask at the hair salon where Bobbie is, they hear she hasn't been there for weeks. Katie hears from Bobbie's boyfriend John that Bobbie is involved in a robbery at a pharmacy, and drives back to In Between to Millie and Scott and is happy to be back at the place that really is her home. But not long after, Katie opens her bedroom door, and is surprised to find a furious Bobbie in her room, who is on the run for the police..

The Big Picture is an amazing and great ending to the Katie Parker series by Jenny B. Jones. It was just the perfect young adult novel with a great and loving main character, her great friends, loving foster parents and fun grandmother Maxine. The end when Bobbie shows up in Katie's room was just stunning and brilliantly written. Just a book every teen girl should read!
