Penelope's Daughter by Laurel Corona

Penelope's Daughter is a novel about the Greek myth of Odysseus, but this time seen from the point of view of his daughter Xanthe. The novel is set when Odysseus has left the family twenty years ago, so he haven't seen the young Xanthe at all.

Xanthe has locked herself in the royal chambers, because some very rapacious suitors are after her so she can't gain the throne. To kill the time, she starts weaving everything that happens in her life;from her upbringing among servants and slaves, to the years spent in hiding with her mother’s cousin, Helen of Troy and about her very first love.

When a stranger dressed as a beggar appears at the palace, Xanthe wonders who will be the one to decide her future—a suitor she loathes, a brother she cannot respect, or a father who doesn’t know she exists...

I honestly must say I don't know much about Greek myths and didn't know all the facts of the one of Odysseus in particular.
But I really enjoyed reading Penelope's Daughter. Its not a problem at all I didn't knew anything about the Odysseus myth, because Laurel Corona has written it in a way that everyone can understand what's happening. If you are a fan of Greek myths with lots of romance in it, this is your book! Otherwhise just pick it up too and be pleasantly surprised!
