Hava Aaronson is a spunky orthodox Jewish girl from New York. After she has played in a performance, she is casted for a sitcom(never mind the Goldbergs) in Los Angeles. The sitcom is a sort of Jewish Cosby Show.Hava is the only real Jewish actor in the sitcom and she breaks a few rules, like kissing her tv dad. And then her best friend Ian comes over from New York and she gets a crush on Moish. Hava's life in Hollywood is not as easy as it seems and then it also looks like she is kicked out of the sitcom..
Never Mind the Goldbergs is a very original and funny ya novel by Matthue Roth.
I think it was very different then the average ya novel and I really really liked that. I also learned a lot about this book and Hava is just an awesome main character. It made me really curious for the other books by Matthue Roth.
