It has always been Kate's dream to open her own shop, and then she get's the chance to do it in the small Cornish seaside town of St. Felix. She opens her own shop of handmade textile designs and handcraft products, and the shop is always busy because of the many tourists.
Everything goes well untill Kate notices something strange. On the vintage sewing machine that a friend gave her to show in her store window, she finds a handmade textile that she didn't place there. She also doesn't recognize the design. The shop was locked during the night, so wo could have placed it there?
There is a new art shop opening in town, and altough she gets to know the nice owner, Jack, Kate is not happy that she is not the only art shop in town now anymore. She becomes close friends though with Jack, who also happens to find the most magical paintings overnight in his shop, just like Kate finds magical textiles in hers. They find out that the two magical happenings are connected to the previous owners of both store locations, that where connected through love,
Kate and Jack start to investigate the romance dates back sixty years ago. During this time, they find out many similarities to their own lives, and also they become more then just friends. But will they be able to righ a wrong something secret that happened sixty years ago and make it a happy end for those in the past and their own lives?
I loved reading Ali McNamara's previous books, so I was excited to get the chance to read and review her newest book that will be in bookstores this July.
The book totally lived up my expectations! I love there is always some magical element in the cozy stories in Ali McNamara's books. The storyline was so much fun and entertaining, and as a reader you keep guessing why there are happening certain magical things. But it was also a sweet romance story between Kate and Jack that never became too cheesy or too much, it was just portrayed just right! And I love that Ali McNamara's books are always set against a backdrop of a very cute small Cornish town, where everyone knows everyone, it makes the story extra special!
So overall, don't miss out this magical new book by Ali McNamara!
