Kate Bailey is a sixteen year old girl who lives with her (extended) family in the small town of Lakesprings, at a lakefront. Her family runs a marina at the lake.Kate is somewhat of a shy girl, and talking to other people isn't her biggest talent. But then her best friend Alana asks her if attending a podcasting class in their high school isn't something for her? She thinks it over and joins, expecting she will only do some behind-the-scenes work. She surely doesn't expect her teacher to chose her as the host of the podcast. But her teacher does so Kate doesn't have any choice. While Kate is busy with her podcast, Alana has set her eyes on her classmate Diego Martinez.

To Kate's surprise, she turns out to be pretty good at the hosting gig. All of a sudden she is answering calls and giving advice on air! Then a boy calls into the podcast seeking love advice about a girl whom he’s interested in, Kate is sure that it’s Diego talking about his feelings for Alana. Later it seems more that Diego is talking about Kate, while Kate is trying to forget Hunter, her ex-boyfriend. But she starts to gets some feelings for Diego, altough he and Alana seem perfect together, but in the end all the pieces fall into place in this new romantic summer YA read!

As most of Kasie West's books, this is a ligthearted (summer) romance that puts a smile on your face! The romance in it was cute but realistic and I loved the three main characters Kate, Alana and Diego and all the side characters. There was a little sideline in this book involving someone messing up the boats in the marina, and Kate suspicion was on her uncle Frank. This sideline started nice, but somehow it got lost during the book and got a bit of a meh conclusion, it would be nice it this sideline was stronger and better developed and ended, it would really have added something new!

But besides that I truly enjoyed reading this nice summer read!
