Nina Brown is living a life in wealth since her husband sold his tech business. That doesn't mean though there isn't any trouble: their teenage son Finch, who is accepted to Princeton, soon lands himself in a serious incident involving an almost naked girl in a picture that is spreading soon across internet. The victim of this internet incident is Lyla, the teenage daughter of Tom Volpe. Tom Volpe is a single parent from a complete other part of Nashville then Nina and he works several jobs to make ends meet and to raise Lyla. Which works off, because Lyla has been going to school at Windsor Academy, Nashville’s most prestigious private school on a scholarship.
The image of Lyla is spreading fast and has serious backlash.the Windsor community is instantly polarized, buzzing with controversy and assigning blame.

First off, all the four main character try to solve and deal with this incident. Later on, Nina and Tom meet and start working together to get Finch to admit he did it, and for Lyla to deal with the backlash of it all.

The story is told in alternating chapters by Nina, Tom, and Lyla, Not by Finch. It has a bit of a slow pace, but for this book this works because there was so much happening. I really liked the whole setup of the story.  Because there are two teens involved in this book, the issue is very relatable to teens, and the author show Lyla 's point of view, this book is somewhat of a crossover between adult and YA fiction. Teens will certainly relate to Lyla. What also was very likeable was the bond and later love spartk that flies over between Nina and Tom. As a reader I totally saw that happening, so that part was a bit predictable.
But that aside, this is very well written and entertaining new book by Emily Giffin.
