In this sequel to Katie Cotugno's 99 Days, Molly and her new boyfriend Ian are in the middle of their vacation in Europe, which starts in London. They tour all the well known tourist spots and have a great time. Untill they are waiting for the underground and Molly suddenly spots her ex-boyfriend Gabe at the platform opposite to theirs. This is totally not what she expected. She is now living in Boston, majoring in business and has a whole new life that she works hard for to get back on track. And now they keep bumping into Gabe in London, who also seems to be there with his new girlfriend. Strangely enough, the two join them on their trip. This leads to a travel through Europe together and some good talks between Molly and Gabe, as some things between them still seem to simmer. Can Molly keep being the “new Molly” or is she bound to fall back to old habits?
I really liked the storyline of this book. It was fun, light and very entertaining. Perfect for fans of Stephanie Perkins and Sarah Dessen. I loved how the book took the reader with Molly and Ian and all the others through Europe, and how the relationships and dynamics between the friends where. Molly starts to talk with Gabe so much and deep that once when they want to travel further at the airport in Paris, they forgot they have to keep guard of everyone's bags and they get stolen. Too bad this was a loose end and we never know if they got it back! I really wondered though why Molly still was in doubt if she would get back to Gabe, as he so obvious has a girlfriend and Ian was just a way better guy. Insert some serious drama at this topic in the book, this drama was entertaining for the readers but also a bit confusing from time to time.
But further on, this is a nice light spring/summer read, nothing very new or special, but likeable and also can be read as a standalone novel if you haven't read the first book.
