In this third and final book in this series, Lara Jean is finishing up her senior year. She is still in a relationship with Peter, and living at home with her widowed father and her sisters Margot and Kitty. She has applied to all the colleges of her choice, waiting for the expected letter where she is accepted. But that turns into quite a dissapointment when she gets a rejection letter of the college which was her first choice.
Now she is put on the waiting list of her second choice, all the time not sure where she will go after the summer.

Meanwhile her dad is making plans with his new girlfriend, next door neighbour Ms Rotschild, to get married. Lara Jean is very happy with this, as Ms Rotschild is a very nice lady which she has a good bond with.

During the book, Lara Jean is focusing on the big life decisions she has to make. Because when she will go to college, what does that mean for her relationship with Peter, will they be able to continue when they are in different colleges and even states? And what does that mean for herself as she has to leave her beloved home and family and move into a college dorm, is she ready for it? Her heart and mind are saying different things, so she has to decide to which one she should listen..

This third book is a great finale to the Lara Jean series! It is a little while ago that I finished reading the second book, but from the beginning I was completely into the story and characters again. Jenny Han made it again a heartwarming YA novel. It was again so beautifully written!! Lara Jean goes to a very life changing period, but her family is always there in the background. They really where so supportive of each other which was just so good to read. Her relationship with Peter is good from the start but goes to some minor struggles in the end, but only to make it even better for both of them. It all worked out for Lara Jean in the end as she is accepted to a college that might be the very best choice she couldn't have imagined in the first place, wich made the best ending of this book.

If you have read the previous two books in the series (which I highly recommend doing) you will fall in love with this final book in this lovely series!
