In this sequel to Billy and Me, Sophie is now quite used to deal with her movie star boyfriend Billy's fame.

The book starts when Sophie and Billy are on a plane from the UK to Los Angeles. There they are visiting Billy's family, whom Sophie haven't met yet. Sophie isn't prepared for the Hollywood chaos and the press following Billy's every move. And she wasn't prepared for Billy's mother, who seems quite controlling, and Sophie overhears her talking with Billy about what she thinks of her one day, which isn't that much on the positive side.

Things get on a very odd foot between them when Billy has to extend his stay in LA because he has to be on the movie set, and Sophie flies back to the UK to herself, where she picks up working at the tea shop she once took over from Molly, who sadly passed away. Then one day Molly's son Peter walks in to the store and they start having nice talks about Molly. It is quite a bit shady if they start a friendship or more than that. anxiety gets the most of her at different moments during Billy's absence. While planning the wedding of the year (her mother's)and having found an extra hand to help in the shop Sophie also realizes that Rosefont Hill is her home and where she wants to stay but is that what Billy wants too?

Always With Love is a novel that just flows along with no thrilling plot twists or turns. The little relationship crisis she has with Billy who is 5241 miles away in LA was an entertaining development in the story, but it never became really interesting as it never was really sure if it was a crisis at all. It never came over to me that Billy was unfateful to her or was seeing anyone else. His PR manager lady pops in at some points but she clearly makes sure nothing is going on between her and Billy. Why is Sophie so unsure of her and Billy then? The thing between her and Peter also never happens, it is just a friendship which Peter mistakes for more when he kisses her. Billie's LA family also plays a significant part, but they where all just very onedimensional in the story to become interesting side characters.

Having read another novel of Giovanna Fletcher before, I had more expectations of this one. Overall, the story and the characters fell a little flat
