Andie is a teen girl who from the outside seems to have it all:  she lives in a beautiful home, has amazing group of friends and has a father who is an important congressman. But on the inside, everything is different: her mother died a few years ago of ovarian cancer and her summer goes a bit different when she is not getting into the summer program she promised her dad to do.

She isn't sure what to do with her summer now, the only option seems to find a job for the summer. She find a job as a dogwalker, mostly for the dogs living in the most huge houses. One of the dogs owners is Clark, living in a huge house on his own, Clark is of her age, and an author. One of his publisher friends lets him live in her/house where he works on his next book. And he turn out to be a friend at first, but later on in the story, what Andie totally didn't expect, it turns out into something more.. Andie's summer is full of unexpected twist and turns!

At first I found the story slow paced and a bit hard to get into. Slowly the pace of the book got better and I found Andie's story getting more interesting. The two red lines in the story are Andie's relationship with her dad and her group of friends, and of course, Clark.

What was really interesting was how her relationship with her dad started so-so, and ended in that they where back in an unbreakable bond. Her group of friends is just the perfect one. They where so supportive of eachother without any backstabbing. When Andie starts dating Clark their support was just amazing. The romance between Andie and Clark was very cute, especially original because he is a bit different because he is a teen author. The reader get's to read pieces of his work too, which was a nice addition to the book.

Overall I didn't found it the most strong YA novel, I expected more of it, but it was fun to read with nice characters.
