The story of  The Perfectionists starts with five high school girls from Beacon Heights, Washington:Ava, Caitlin, Mackenzie, Julie, and Parker. They all have something in common: they hate popular guy Nolan Hotchkiss, who has done quite some terrible things to every girl in the group. They come up with the only idea to stop him and to have some of revenge on him: they all want him killed, but in the hypothetical way. But then there is a party they are invited to, and Nolan is there too. He is found dead in the end of the night. But the girls didn't turn their plans into action, they didn't do it! They are suspects though, but the four girls are going to find out who is the real killer, and find out that in their little perfect worlds not all is as it seems.

After reading Sara Shepards first book in her new The Heiresses series recently, which was absolutely an amazing book, I was pretty excited to read about her other new series The Perfectionists, and even more when I got an e-gally of it on Edelweiss!!

Altough I thought it was a little less gripping than The Heiresses, it was entertaining to read and it reminded me quite a lot of Sara's other bestselling series Pretty Little Liars. It was quite of similar though due to the fact that it was about five high school girls, parties, a not very trustable teacher who was quite nasty, and a lot of drama and gossip. It took a little while for the mystery to unravel. The first part was quite good in that part when Nolan is found, then the mystery part slows down a bit to just hit full on in the end. The end was a bit open, but that only made me curious for the next book.

If you like series as Pretty Little Liars and Gossip Girl, this is a new series you need to check out for sure!
