Penny decides to start a club, wich she is the creater and first member of: The Lonely Hearts Club. When her girlfriends hear about her club, they want to join, because they too are sick of boys who break their hearts and dump them. Even Penny's former best friend, who is more acting like a popular frenemy the last years, wants to join after she breaks up with the popular Ryan.
The Lonely Hearts Club grows quickly, and becomes an influential social force as members meet every Saturday night, go to dances together, and support one another in their academic and extracurricular pursuits.
But then the school decides that they become so popular they overrule the school, and..can Penny be the president now she has started dating Ryan??
The Lonely Hearts club got major buzz in the YA blogosphere when it came out. It was on my want-to-read-list for a long time, so I was very excited I finally got a copy and could start reading. It was so much fun reading, and it was a perfect lighthearted read. I loved how Elizabeth Eulberg weaved a red line, The Beatles, through the story and the way that was did was just fun and really fit in the plot.
The Lonely Hearts Club is just a club you want to join right now, and a book you must read if you are secretly in love with The Beatles

What a fantastic idea, and the book sounds great! Thank you for the review.
