Swapped by a Kiss by Luisa Plaja

Publisher: Random House UK
Release Date: April 29 2010

American girl with a goth edge Rachel hates her life. Her cute British boyfriend David invites her to the music festival Enchantment. And then it happens; Rachel suddenly sees David kissing Jo. Jo, the girl Rachel secretly wants to be, because Jo seems to be the practically perfect cutegirly girl. Rachel runs off the festival grounds, totally in shock because of what she saw previously, and then..everything swirls around her and everything goes black..and when she wakes up something has changed...she is still Rachel..but in the body of Jo!

But what happened to the real Jo? Did she swapped into the body of Rachel? A really amazing and weird weekend including Rachel's best friend from America Tori, Jo writing in a luxury hotel ín Rachel's body (where she observes Rachel's mom and a real hotty of a male nurse as in ER) and a dark hidden secret that unravels around Rachel's school arch enemy Chelsea Cook. Will someone find out that the girls accidentally body-swapped, and will they get back, or do they find their real selves first?

Swapped by a Kiss is the third teen novel by author Luisa Plaja. I have read her previous two books, Split by a Kiss and Extreme Kissing, which I both really enjoyed.
Luisa's newest book is just her very very best. It is very hilarious, and very original. I loved the body swap theme, I have seen it in books and movies before like, Freaky Friday, but I must say I liked this book even better than that movie..

I also liked the romance plot between Rachel and David, and the funny differences between American and British culture that was woven into the plot.
I think this is a highly recommendation of you want to read a fresh voice in teen books. Don't miss this out this book, this is one of the best books for this spring ànd summer!
(and yes, I am just a little bit excited that MarjoleinBookBlog is the first to review Swapped by a Kiss!)
