Unfortunately MarjoleinBookBlog doesn't made it to the Book Blog Awards Finalists, but there are some fun other BBAW things going on. There are now some amazing giveaways going on, click on the picture above to go to the BBAW site.
One part of BBAW is an interview swap between book bloggers. I interviewed Erica from the blog The Book Cellar and she interviewed me! How fun is that?
When and how did you start bookblogging?
I started blogging earlier this year after being on different book sites for about a year. I would see links to all sorts of fabulous blogs like The Page Flipper and The Story Siren, and I read their blogs for awhile. The first time I saw any of their blogs, I thought it was the coolest thing and something I'd love to do. I doubted anyone would ever want to hear what I had to say, so it took me awhile to actually start my own.
How did you came up with your fabulous name, the book cellar?
The Book Cellar was just something that popped into my head one day, and I thought Hey! That'd be a great blog name :)
Who are your favorite authors and why?
There's way too many to list here but the list would include Libba Bray, Terry Goodkind, Kristin Cashore, Alyson Noel, Richelle Mead, Ally Carter - there list goes on and on. All of these authors write so unique from another and have their own ways of writing and drawing you into the world of there books. They write such amazing books.
Which are your favorite books and why?
This is such a hard question, I love so many books! Series-wise I'd probably say my top 4 series are Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, The Gemma Doyle Trilogy by Libba Bray, Gallagher Girls by Ally Carter and Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series. As for individual books, Hush, Hush and Graceling are probably up there. There's so many reasons for all of them, but I just get so lost in the world of the characters in these books and it's just wow.
Do you prefer to read one book at a time or are you a multiple book reader?
I'm definately read one book at a time, when I try to juggle more books, I'll be like Huh? I thought thing happened.
What do you like the most about YA books?
I love the variety. You can pick up 2 YA books in the same genre, and chances are the authors have taken the same thing and gone completely different ways. I think it's so great to have books that are so amazing and with so much variety. Young adult offers endless possibilities!
Do you visit author events, ever met an author of the books you've read/reviewed?
I would love to go to author events! I've only been to 2 signings- Ally Carter and Richelle Mead. Signings are generally about 2 hours away so it's harder to get to signings. I think it would be the coolest thing to meet authors whose books I've reviewed.
Have you ever thought about writing a book yourself?
Yes! It would be one of my ultimate dreams to be a published author. I'm actually currently writing a novel, and toying around with another one. I'm not sure if I'll ever finish either, but there's always the possibility.
Whats in your To be read pile right now?
Blood Promise by Richelle Mead, The Everafter by Amy Huntley, The Dark Divine by Bree Despain, The Cinderella Society by Kay Cassidy, Pretty Dead by Francesca Lia Block, and She's So Money by Cherry Cheva are just a few! I have a pile filled with so many amazing books!

Great interview! i've been seeing Richelle Mead everywhere, her Aussie tour marketing campaign is AMAZING, they actually finish it by throwing a full on party complete with book signings. Exciting!
