The Mediator:Shadowland by Meg Cabot

Suze is moving from Brooklyn, New York to California with her mom. They going to live in the house of her mothers boyfriend, Andy, and suddenly she has three brothers. Suze is not the average girl. She has the 'gift'of seeing ghosts. And there is one in her new bedroom. A guy ghost, a guy ghost with a Spanish accent who looks like a guy from more historical times,a guy ghost named Jesse.
And then, at her new Catholic school, there is the mean girl ghost named Heather at her locker who is calling Suze a bitch. The girl has killed herself because of her bad luck in love, with a guy from school named Bryce. Heather wants to take revenge on Bryce, and almost kills him. Suze knows there is more to expect from Heather, and luckily she has one of the school teachers, Father Dominic (who is also a mediator, and can see ghosts too)behind her for help.Heather's actions are getting more serious..and it seems Suze is the only one who can stop this..
If you want to read a light, but mysterious fun ya novel, you certainly will not be dissapointed with Shadowland, book 1 in the Mediator series by Meg Cabot. Different from al her other books but it reminded me a bit of the 1800-where-are-you series, in the sense of the same style of the story and plot. I really liked the lightness of the book. The mystery part was a little bit thin, but that doesn't spoil how much I enjoyed reading it. Stay tuned for my reviews of the other Mediator books, wich I will receive soon.
