32 year old Fran Cooper's life seems to be totally on track. She is engaged with her longtime boyfriend Stew, she left London to move in with him in his home that he inherited from his grandma in Sheffield, and she has a nice temp job as an assistant. 

But then Christmas comes around, and her life is falling apart; she is out of a job, and her relationship with stew finds itself in bad weather as she sees him with another woman. But then through her friend she gets in touch with an employment agency, and she gets the chance to become the personal assistant of a famous celebrity singer, Juliette. Before she know it, she is off to Italy where she is boarding the luxurious Songbird yacht, which is making its way to the island of Panarea in the Mediterranean, where Juliette is scheduled to perform on the annual Chrystal Ball. And it is Fran's job to make sure Juliette meets all her planned appointments with her wide list of personal trainers, beauticians, vocal coaches, hair stylist and all that. Before she landed this job, Fran was warned that working with diva Juliette was difficult, but Fran notices that Juliette isn't anything but a diva. She is actually quite friendly and cooperative, she only has a bad habit of drinking too much, which leads to her canceling the Chrystal Ball concert and landing Fran all on her own at the ball...and there she meets Evan..

As I was in for a light and funny read, I opted for this new book by Lindsey Kelk, well known for her I Love... (name of city here..) book series. I have read a few of them years ago and I truly liked them, so I expected a funny story like that with this new book. And it lived up my expectations! The story is funny and chaotic, just what I expected! You can almost expect something going wrong with Fran becoming Juliette's personal assistant, and that is just what is happening, but this leads her to something utterly romantic, and just what she needs in her life. Altough it takes some time before she realises it, and wants to give in to Evan's love, because he is kind of upper class and might out of her league. (and because she has the guts to finally break up with Stew untill the end)  It was all written beautifully and hilarious, and also very romantic in the end!

So if you loved Lindsey Kelk's I Love.. series, you will certainly fall in love with this new book by her!!
