This is perfect YA novel for girls who are into sports, or fans of the sporty Pretty Though book series by Nicole Leigh Sheperd, or the books by Kasie West and Morgan Matson. Marnie was a spunky realistic teenager, who really goes for the sport she truly loves and for her best friend Cody. I really liked how the romance between Marnie and Cody developed. Cody was sweet and incredibly supportive of Marnie. He encouraged her and truly believed in her. Friendships are another red line in this book, as Marnie's best friend Sara was also a nice side character in the book. She was a true friend and it really showed in the book and added a real heart to the story.
Overall I found Out Of Left Field a very nice, entertaining and sporty read with a good storyline
