Grace Wilde needs to step away for a while from home. Away from her grand house and her bossy mom. But most of all she needs a time off from the situation with her brother Nathan, who died due to an overdose of drugs. So she assigns to a year of international high boarding school in Korea, ready for a new starts. Her roommate turns out to be a very nice Korean girl: Sophie, who is very into music as her brother Jason is on of the superstar members of a famous KPOP band. At first hand, it doesn't seem to click between Grace and Jason, as Grace is not impressed by his oversized ego, but later on, when they get to know each other better, a friendship builds up that grows out in romance. During her stay, Grace learns a lot about KPOP, life in Korea, but most of all, herself..

This book just blew me away! I was very attracted to this book by the cover and the synopsis (I love books that are set in Asia). The story and characters where in one word: A-MA-ZING! Grace was fabulous: she leaves her life back in the US because of her difficult mom  and the tragic death of her brother (which her mother blames her for). In Korea, she has time to process all the things that happened,  get her mind of it for a bit, and meet new people. I love how the romance between her and Jason was worked out. It was just a the perfect right pace, nothing too fast of forced, just very realistic. Sophie was an the best friend you can imagine, she came just at the right time in Grace's lifel. Jason was awesome, especially in the end when he opened up more and more to Grace. The way it was written, the tone of the story, it was all fabulous and perfect, I think this is one of the best written YA novels out this year. Light but with a lot of depth. Just perfect in every way!!
